No Family Should Have to Fight Hunger While Fighting for Life
Every day, hundreds of families wait outside hospitals, praying for the recovery of their loved ones. Many travel from distant villages with little or no money. While they fight for life inside the hospital, another silent battle continues outside—the battle against hunger.
During the 2020 lockdown, when the world came to a standstill, Lalan Mahato began a small initiative with a single van, a few helping hands, and one powerful mission:
No one should sleep hungry.
That mission became My Humrahi.

For the last 4 years, My Humrahi has been serving freshly cooked meals every single day to cancer patients and their families outside hospitals. What started as a small effort has now become a daily lifeline for 300–400 people.
